PREPARATION

Before going on the Hajj, you must prepare some things to bring and wear. There are specific things you must bring, for example, certain pieces of clothing. Here is a list of everything you will have to bring.

1. CLOTHING

You have to wear specific clothes when going on the Hajj. You must show no signs of wealth such as jewellery or fancy dresses. Instead, you must wear plain white garment called Ihram. Everyone wears this to show equality and purity since all Muslims are seen as equals to God.

2. VACCINES

As many people gather from around the world at Hajj, you will be vulnerable to many diseases. Make sure you get vaccinations appropriate for the trip and ask your Doctor about any problems.

3.SPIRITUALITY: PREPARING YOUR MIND

                                           

To go to Hajj, you must have the correct mentality. Think of this picture. What do you see? A black dot right? Wrong. There are actually lots of white dots surrounding this black dot. This is the mentality you are meant to have when entering the Hajj. The black dot will always be there: e.g. Distractions such as loud noise, but you have to focus on the white dots, the world outside the noises and distractions.
